Captains 2024–25

[edit]

As of today, it's not official that Dani Carvajal it will be the first captain of the team. Please remove it until Real Madrid make it official. Panenkazo (talk) 12:07, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The player who is the longest at the club is captain, which is him. Kante4 (talk) 12:18, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This does not guarantee being the first captain. It is usually done through an internal wardrobe vote. Can you provide any reference that establishes that Real Madrid follows the criteria you have argued every year? Can you guarantee that Carvajal will remain a Real Madrid player next season? Until there is an official statement announcing all the captains one should not speculate. Panenkazo (talk) 13:34, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Dani will probably be the captain next season but until there is an official reference we cannot be sure. Could you provide a reference? Panenkazo (talk) 13:37, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Realtotal talking about it, goal.com also. We can remove it as long as it's not "official" (not sure if RM announces it). Kante4 (talk) 13:43, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think that when we talk about official or representative positions we should always use direct references. With player signings for example, sports newspaper references are not valid until there is an official announcement from the club. I am in favor of removing it until there is an official statement. If there was an article from Real Madrid establishing this criterion of agreement. But we cannot guarantee 100% that this year will follow this one. Panenkazo (talk) 13:50, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It has been done that way for the last 10+ years and even more i think at RM but we never know. Kante4 (talk) 13:51, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This article is listed as a Good article. We should put certainties and not probabilities. Panenkazo (talk) 13:52, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Mpappé, probably modric last year… we never know.. Panenkazo (talk) 13:53, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Real Madrid and Juventus played each other in the second round of the 1986/87 European Cup with Real Madrid progressing to the next knockout stage after a penalty shoot-out. Both teams had 1-0 home victories. 2A02:810D:BE40:5D4:0:0:0:A48 (talk) 21:29, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The UEFA web page shows all the matches played between Real Madrid and Juventus. It is clearly established there that they faced each other in the second round of the 1986/87 European Cup. Once again, I am adding the link here for your convenience

In the Rivalries section, the tally of wins, defeats and draws is not up to date, as it states: "Over the years, the record for Real Madrid and Barcelona is 100 victories for Madrid, 97 victories for Barcelona, and 52 draws." The correct numbers after the latest El Clásico, played on the 26th of October of 2024 are 105 victories for Real Madrid, 101 for Barcelona and 52 draws, as stated in the official FC Barcelona webpage.
