Do they have names? If this can't be sourced, I'd like to remove it. It seems just as likely that a guy who fantasizes about violence might seek out work cutting up dead animals. The cause-effect relationship is not clear here, but working as a butcher doesn't seem to have driven many men to serial murder. What does 'at point' (in the phrase: 'Brady spent 19 years in a mainstream prison (at point befriending serial poisoner..') mean? Is it really the name of a prison?Duncan.france 19:25, 29 December 2005 (UTC)

I haven't edited it out before, but i'm going to this time. A google.co.uk search reveals no link between Brady and Rangers and a tinypic doesn't count as a source as it could be edited. Thus if you can find a reputable source then you can put back in he is a Rangers fan otherwise it counts as unsourced. However, that his fasciantion with Nazism stemmed from Rangers is speculation and is highly POV. A link of a single fan does not make a club "well known for their Nazi salutes". To add to this,a lot of fans of Glasgow Rangers celebrate the Battle of the Boyne on the 12th of July Ian Brady Murdered Pauline Reade on this day which I can guarentee would have been a huge day for him. Another murder occurred the day after an Irish Roman Catholic President was assassinated only a few short hours later John Kilbride was killed-a lad who's father was Irish-could Brady have known this?. He made Myra Hindley turn her back on the Roman Catholic church. He had neo nazi tendancies as do a large percentage of Rangers fans Id be interested in the religions and political leanings of the families of his other victims.

LGBT?

By what logic does Ian Brady rank as LGBT? He has always maintained the sex of his victims to have been an irrelevance, a detail selected by Myra Hindley. He did once pick up a gay man, 17-year-old Edward Evans, but this was entirely for the purpose of staving his head in with an axe in front of Hindley's brother-in-law, David Smith, to convince him that the pair were really capable of murder.

According to Peter Topping, when discussing the sexual aspect of his crimes, Brady told the police inspector that he was indeed bisexual. Jaiwills

It says that Brady raped John Kilbride and Keith Bennett. Does anybody know how, or with what??? If he raped them with, say, a broomstick, then I think that it was just Brady on a power-trip wanting to exert control over his victim, but if he sexually raped them by getting an erection himself, I'd say that's pretty strong evidence that he was at least bisexual if not homosexual. I know some people say that it's always about power, but I would say most people find that a little hard to believe - it's like these guys who go to prison, engage in homosexual sex, then after they are released they say, "Oh no, I'm not gay - that was just while I was inside, but now that I'm out, I'm straight". What utter nonsense. I think Brady should be listed as LGBT again.

"Published" or "wrote" Janus

I find the following a little confusing:

In 2001 Brady published a book called The Gates of Janus, which was published by the underground American publishing firm Feral House. The book, Brady's analysis of serial murder and specific serial killers, sparked outrage when announced in Britain.[1]

According to Peter Topping's book, Myra's confession mentions Brady burning a piece of white string which he had used to murder Keith Bennett.

Shawlands Academy

The article on Shawlands Academy mentions Brady as an "alumnus". Is this true? Seems odd if he was brought up in the Gorbals. --Doric Loon 21:08, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Where is your source for Brady in BB7? He doesn't appear in the housemate list on the official site or anywhere else. I conclude that a sick pervert has put this up. Note to sick pervert; You do not joke about the Moors murderers.

Courtcase

Firstly, the European Court of Justice has no jurisdiction over the permissability of lifelong sentences; presumably what was being referred to was the European Court of Human Rights. Secondly, I find it hard to justify the mentioning of the court's review so long as no judgment has been rendered. I have removed the reference FoekeNoppert 21:35, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
