Louise Solo Career
[edit]"Louise embarked on her (what was to be considerably fruitful) solo career"
Are you sure about that?!
Louise got kicked out Eternal as at that time, a mixed race girl group could not be accepted in the world- Eternal management were about to take the girls overseas (the US). Three black girls and one white, this was by far too emancipated. Music is all about selling copies...
- Yes, that's why the Spice Girls bombed so spectacularly in the USA, isn't it..? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.13.64.30 (talk) 11:12, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
- Do you have a reliable source for that? — AnemoneProjectors (zomg!) 12:58, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
yea louise was treated very unfairly and was seemed the outsider of the group this needs to be looked into as it could be quite serouisVeggiegirl (talk) 21:32, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Eternal Greatest Hits.jpg
[edit]Image:Eternal Greatest Hits.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Album cover in infobox
[edit]I have once again removed the image of the Eternal Greatest Hits album based on Wikipedia:Non-free content. Per the acceptable use of images part of that page: "Some copyrighted images may be used on Wikipedia, providing they meet both the legal criteria for fair use, and Wikipedia's own guidelines for non-free content. Copyrighted images that reasonably can be replaced by free/libre images are not suitable for Wikipedia. 1. Cover art: Cover art from various items, for identification only in the context of critical commentary of that item (not for identification without critical commentary)."
An album cover should never be used to identify a group because there is no critical commentary of the album itself. A free use image could be found of the group and used in the infobox to identify the group. Aspects (talk) 18:41, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
Which year did they disband?
[edit]The article states that they ceased to exist as a group in 1999, but the infobox states years active 1992-2000. Could someone who knows for certain, which year they actually disbanded, please make the necessary correction, so that there is no longer any contradiction present in the article. Werdnawerdna (talk) 02:20, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
- Their final album was released at the end of 1999, but they were dropped by their label in 2000.79.66.40.159 (talk) 03:13, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
Main Aricles for Bennet Sisters link back to Eternal article
[edit]^^ The links for the main articles for the Bennett sisters redirect back to this page. Remove them? --hubare (talk) 09:47, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
An earlier band with the same name
[edit]There was a shoegazing band, also called Eternal, who released only one single, "Sleep", on Sarah Records in 1990. Andrew07 (talk) 23:23, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
Linking to my own site
[edit]I am the owner of the "Power Of A Woman" website (evkl.net), named after Eternal's second album. I think (hope) it's ok to add this to the links, so I will do that; feel free to remove it if not. Something I'm not sure about is using my own site for citations; most of the material on there is second hand, so I guess it is best avoided. However, if there is no other source, is it sometimes appropriate, or a complete no-no? I am more interested in improving the quality of this page than getting a link to my site. Louise
[edit]This article gives her name as Redknapp. However, as she left the band in 1995 and didn't marry until 1998 shouldn't she be named here as Louise Nurding? Britmax (talk) 20:04, 6 September 2014 (UTC).
- Redknapp is obviously incorrect, however her professional name isn't Louise Nurding, it's simply Louise. 86.155.212.53 (talk) 19:31, 4 July 2016 (UTC)

Band break up due to homophobic views and anti-LGBTQ
[edit]According to the daily mirror they are having problems to sell tickets due to homephobic views, https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/nineties-pop-group-eternal-forced-32227579 2A04:4A43:428F:FB79:C992:F395:207:386C (talk) 15:54, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
- This is incorrect FALSE information to push an narrative, the band did not break up and are currently active and this needs to stop being listed as such.
